Beach Pictures - Strandbilder

Sunday morning on the beach... Could there be a b etter place to be? I don't think so...
The black dog is our Terrier girl, called Sally.

Because you seem to like the pictures, here are some more from the path behind our house...

This is the path I walk along when going into town. It starts directly behind our house and is a wildlife sanctuary and the pheasant walked happily beside me for a while. You have already seen the bridge on my snow photos further down.

Another Easter Box

And another Easter box. This one will be for my son's piano teacher. She is a lovely lady and she and my son get on like a house on fire. I will fill it with some German goodies.

Winter in Scotland

3 weeks ago, it was still looking like this behind our house. It was the strongest winter we have had in over 15 years we we've been living here.

Scotland

From time to time I would love to show you some pictures from Nessie's World... I hope you like it!

Box Nr. 3

This box style is definitely one of my favourite ones, because you can easily change the size and it is very sturdy. You can find a video tutorial here: http://www.chicnscratchlive.com/ (03/04/10). Angie has a wonderful blog with great video tutorials! I don't know whether it can be seen but I added glossy accents on parts of the box and on the flower at the handle, it looks now a bit like these epoxy stickers. What do you think?

My favourite box

This is my fav. box. It is cut with my Sizzix Pillow Boz Die. The instructions were found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/pillowboxbucket/
My decorations are: bought Easter grass, shop bought flowers, decorated with half perls and gems and my beloved Easter Bunny die. The green panels are embossed with 2 dfferent Cuttlebug folders and cut with tag-shaped die cutters
What do you think?

Boxes

This tiny box was crafted with 4 die cuts from the Sizzix square envelope die (but can be easily folded without a die at all!). The decorations are die cuts: the little chick, the Sizzix medium fence die and a grass die. What do you thin?

Pictures - as promised

This cute little card was made with the new stamps from Papermania "Honey & Hugs". I adore this chick. It is so girlie. This card will soon travel to Germany and I do hope it will make someone smile!

The second card (on the left) is made with the same chicken-stamp and added die cuts (done with my Sizzix die)

Hope you like these "pre-Easter" cards with a touch of spring?

Wonderful Weekend

We have had a great weekend. Our daughter was home for 2 days, it was lovely, I miss her so much. And we are still lucky, her University is just 1 1/2 hours away. I was also busy to give some Easter boxes a try. It worked out lovely, I am so happy. It's too dark now to use the camera, I will do that tomorrow and provide some pictures. Have a good night, stay cozy and warm!

Oh gosh.... the weather is unbelievable (awful)! It is so cold and windy and this icy rain... I am living here for over 15 years now and we have never had a winter like this before. Normally, the temperatures will not drop under the freezing point - and if they do, it might be for one or two days. Now, we have this weather since a week before Christmas and I am just fed up! Last week we had 3 splendid days and everyone thought "spring is coming - at least" - but now we are back to wintery conditions. My dh is on a business trip for 3 days further South, but there the weather is also not much better.

Do you know what I would love to do today? I would really like to have fellow crafters over (perhaps even German speaking ones?), I would make a pot of coffee or tea, bake a cake and we could just chat.. Unfortunately, no one in Germany seems to like the idea... *lol* In half an hour, I will have to pick up my son from school and instead of brewing a pot of tea, it will just be a mug... :-)

Speak to you soon, take care

My very first entry!

I made it - an I really can't believe it! I managed to create my very own blog - tata! Be patient, I have to learn a lot and will always be grateful for hints and tips, so do not hesitate to contact me! This blog should be about my life and my interests, so you will learn things about my family, my crafty adventures and my kitchen enterprises. I will post recipes, pictures of the cards I have created and so on... This blog will be mainly in English (because I live in Nessie Land), but I am German, so if you would like to get some recipes in German - no problem - contact me and I will be able to help.

Also sagt mir Bescheid, wenn Ihr fragen habt.

To begin with, I want to share a card I made a while ago - and I still like it. It was quite a lot of work piercing the flowers. The "flower basket" and the leaves are done in Origami and the flowers are just punched.

Speak to you soon, I have a doctor's appointment today, so take care!
